Nursing Overview in the Second Hospital of Jilin University
Under the leadership of leaders at all levels, the nursing team of the Second Hospital of Jilin University has made significant progress through the hard work of nurses during several generations. There are 92 nursing units in the hospital, with more than 2,000 nurses, including 1 doctor, 96 master, and 29 master supervisors. The research direction covers clinical nursing, elderly nursing, chronic disease nursing, nursing management, infection prevention, and control, etc.
Yin Yanling, deputy superintendent, the leader of the nursing discipline, is the winner of the 46th Nightingale Medal and a model worker in Jilin Province. Under her leadership, the nursing team has made fruitful nursing management achievements, clinical nursing, nursing education, and other frontier fields. As the first batch of high-quality nursing demonstration units in Jilin Province, the nursing team provides patients with high-quality, efficient, safe, and standardized nursing services based on the service concept of "starting from active service, combining with sincere service and finally satisfying service." Innovative management modes such as grid integrated nursing management and CARE shift arrangements have been proposed and implemented for the first time in China. "3S" services, namely specialty, smile, and satisfaction, have been carried out, nursing quality has been continuously improved, and Nightingale voluntary service activities have been continuously carried out, benefiting more than 80,000 people. The nursing team won the National Women Pacesetter Post and Changchun May Day Labor Certificate, represented Jilin Province in the National Health System Nursing Post Technology Competition, and won the Silver Award and third place in the group, respectively. The Nursing Department was awarded the "National May Day Women Pacesetter Post" by the National Federation of Trade Unions and the "May Day Labor Certificate" by the Changchun Federation of Trade Unions. The nursing team forms the first batch of specialized nurse training bases and high-quality nursing service demonstration hospitals in Jilin Province. It is also the authorization point for the master's degree in a nursing specialty, as well as the chairman unit of the specialized branches of the Jilin Nursing Society, such as intensive care, infection, obstetrics and gynecology, blood purification, popular science, etc. In the past 5 years, our hospital has undertaken and participated in 39 projects at the provincial and ministerial levels, with a scientific research fund of over 2.75 million yuan. More than 1100 papers have been published, among which 29 are included in SCI, 320 are included in core journals, 4 belong to invention patents, and 190 belong to utility model patents.
As the authorization point for a master's degree in the nursing major in double first-class universities, the nursing team of our hospital will adhere to the hospital training spirit of "study extensively, self-examine carefully, absolute sincerity and far-reaching."
